Precious metals, such as gold, silver, and platinum can be processed, as can non-ferrous metals or light alloys.

Welding applications can be carried out in close proximity to heat-sensitive materials such as precious stones, as opposed to the traditional joining processes such as flame soldering. The high peak pulse power of up to 9 kW can be used above all to weld highly reflective materials such as silver or gold. The adjustable focus diameter of 0.1 to 1.5 mm guarantees maximum flexibility in every application.

The unique pulse-to-pulse stability in the low-energy range is particularly suitable for constant welding of thin wires, such as are used in the area of design or in the jewelry-chain industry.

The specially developed sweet-spot resonator allows challenging materials like highly alloyed silver or gold to be welded in consistently high quality and at high resolution.

The laser can be integrated directly in the production process. Compared with soldering, about a dozen preparatory and reworking steps can be dispensed with.
