The systems belonging to the Perfolas Generation are laser perforation
systems developed specially for perforating web material, such as
cigaret-tipping paper. This is indispensable today for reducing
the tar and nicotine content of modern, light cigarettes, for example.
At the heart of the system is a special optical multiplexer, invented
and developed bei Baasel Lasertech. This is complemented with special
CO2 lasers, optimized for highest power stability, and
state of the art paperwinders for highest windingspeed and precision.
The most recent developments now allow up to 4 reels to be perforated
and cut in parallel - using with a suitable special lens, this means
a maximum perforation rate of up to 500,000 holes per second.
A comfortable operator panel allows easy adjustment of all parameters.
The machine can be set for perforating round and oval holes.
The available options include an online-monitor for porosity and
a genuine zero-meter modul.
