Tool Open
A small tool for a big job
|
|
The new Tool Open brings
mobile laser welding to perfection. Without the timeconsuming
toil of dismounting large tools or molds, you can accomplish
on-site repairs and enjoy the advantages of laser welding
as a flexible and location-independent process. |
Goes anywhere
With swiftness and precision, a weight-compensated
hinged bracket arm brings the welding
head in position over the workpiece.
With a range of 1.70 m horizontally and of
1.80 m in height you should be able to reach
your target even on the largest molds or tools.
The alignment of the positioning axes parallel
to the welding seam makes for an intuitive
control of the traveling paths. During the welding
process the system is controlled via a
joystick. Usually it is sufficient to control one
axis only.
Everything on board – everything in
view
150 W of laser power, integrated water/air
cooling unit, positioning arm and XYZ-axes
system – you will find everything neatly integrated
into a compact and mobile unit. For
surveillance of the halogenlamp- or LED-illuminated
processing area, a microscope or a
camera with LCD screen are available – also
in a trinocular configuration, if desired. The
removable system control box allows programming
close to the workpiece.
Optimal beam quality – precise
weld seams
The Nd:YAG laser with the patented Sweet
Spot resonator® combines optimal first pulse
behavior with the best possible beam quality.
The laser was specially optimized for deployment
with optical fibers. Pulse shaping and a
motorized focus adjustment of 0.4 to 1.6 mm
expand your options in setting weld seams,
thus reducing post-processing and making
your repairs even more cost-effective.
