Compact Package

The new StarWeld 20 has a compact enclosure that can be conveniently installed under a desk. The laser source is air-cooled and therefore only needs a single-phase wall plug connection. The StarWeld 20 produces high-quality and consistent spot and seam welds on metals, and alloys including precious metals, even under difficult process conditions, due to the individually adjustable pulse shapes. It is the ideal system for the electronics, electro-mechanical, opto-electronics, sensor, medical device and jewelry industries.

Remote Control

The system is very easy to handle: all beam parameters can be adjusted via the multifunction control and display unit. If necessary – e. g. in a production line - even from a distance of up to 3 meters as the control unit can be removed. Maintenance of the laser can be done from the front of the enclosure.

Fine Spots

The StarWeld 20 with its 200 µm optical fiber is the ideal system for micro welds – even in close proximity to heat-sensitive materials or components. The optics of the compact plug & play optical fiber and the modular welding heads accomplish spots diameters between 100 and 800 µm and thus cover the entirerange of micro welds.

Simultaneous Welding

With the optional beam-splitter module (energy sharing) the laser beam of the StarWeld 20 can be split up into three fibers max. Thus, welds can be made simultaneously at three different spots (triple energy sharing) with consistently perfect quality. Of course, the power of each single spot can be adjusted individually (energy balancing). The StarWeld 20 is a robust laser source which has proven its high performance in industry. Its new, compact and service-friendly design guarantees easy integration into the customer's production line.
